Plum

The plum is produced by a tree of the Rosaceae family, the plum tree, which is native to Persia, the Caucasus and Asia Minor. Acclimatized in the Southern States, it has a number of varieties. The plum, consumed in the natural if it is fresh, or of wet if it is dry, is a very nutritious and tasty food. It is also highly appreciated in jams, soups, purées, or in combination with dried figs, raisins or grated walnuts.
It is a food that, due to its laxative properties, is suitable for the lazy intestines; which, thanks to its high percentage of carbohydrates, is recommended for manual workers; and that because of its content in phosphorus, it benefits the students and the intellectual workers.
