Juicy and bittersweet Jenipap

The jenipapo is a tree of the Rubiaceae family, whose fruit gives a juice that many Brazilian Indians serve to blacken the face and the body, and the nortistas to make wine. The pulp of the fruit, juicy, spongy, bittersweet, is good to be eaten naturally or to be used in juices. It also serves to prepare jams.
