The jaqueira is a tree of the Moráceas family. Originally from India and other Asian countries, it has been acclimatized in Brazil, where it is in abundance. Jaca is a product of great utility in food. Very rich in saccharine principles, it is a hydrocarbon fruit par excellence. It is, moreover, a regular source of iron. The seeds, thick and numerous, are starchy. They can be baked or cooked.
