Abiu

The abiu is the fruit of the abieiro, a tree of the Sapotacea family, originally from Peru. The fruit has shape and size comparable to that of an egg. Its surface is smooth, yellowish, shiny. Its flesh is whitish and very sweet. This sugary and gummy fruit has good results in the treatment of lung diseases.
